CREATING A REALITY TV PARODY AD CAMPAIGN:

Farmore partnered with our creative agency friends at Redpepper to execute a vibrant regional commercial ad campaign for their Caribbean market client, BOP! Insecticide Spray. Redpepper brought us a brilliant concept centered on a reality TV-style parody, and together we developed the “Unwelcome Guest” campaign.

Knowing that reality television programming commands a massive audience share across the Caribbean market where BOP! is distributed, the goal was to capitalize on that specific cultural engagement. We built a series of broadcast ads set inside a classic reality TV house, turning the typical roommate drama all the way up to ten. But rather than fighting over dishes or cleaning habits, the conflict centers on a truly invasive roommate: a massive cockroach. Just as the housemates are at each other’s throats, BOP! Insecticide Spray steps into the scene to save the day, instantly eliminating the unwelcome pest.

One of BOP’s core requests was ensuring the house guests accurately represented each of their four distinct target markets within the Caribbean. Farmore answered the challenge with an all-star, highly diverse cast that perfectly hit those cultural notes. Thank goodness the cockroach was animated!

Farmore handled the full-scale commercial production, adapting the creative to film a core 60-second commercial spot along with accompanying 15-second multi-platform digital cutdowns. The entire campaign was captured during a highly efficient, single-day production schedule on location in Tampa, FL, utilizing full cast and crew.
