BAGELS DESERVE PEPSI AD CAMPAIGN

PROJECT SUMMARY:

Our friends at the Tampa Bay Lightning partnered with us to create a suite of high-energy commercial advertisements for Pepsi, featuring Lightning forward Brandon Hagel. Farmore developed and filmed two unique 30-second commercial concepts, along with 15-second digital cutdowns, all captured during a single day of production at the TGH Ice Plex in Brandon, FL.

Pepsi requested that we replicate an existing spot from their national “Food Deserves Pepsi” campaign (originally featuring David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins), while simultaneously creating an entirely new regional concept to be promoted during the 2026 NHL Stadium Series.

In collaboration with the Lightning's creative team, we developed the "Bagels Deserve Pepsi" breakroom commercial. The comedic concept follows a passionate Pepsi “Crasher” having a hilariously one-sided conversation with Brandon Hagel about why Pepsi pairs perfectly with bagels in all forms. Much to Hagel’s deadpan disbelief, the Crasher is right: bagels do indeed deserve Pepsi.

We submitted this campaign to the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Tampa Bay, where it took home a Gold ADDY Award in the local Tampa region, followed by a Silver ADDY Award in AAF District 4 (covering the State of Florida and the Caribbean).
